Community benefit fund
Part of the surplus income generated from the wind turbine is intended to support community benefit projects near to the turbine site with priority given to those located within the wards of Llanwnnen, Llanfihangel Ystrad and Lampeter/Llanbedr Pont Steffan. Projects within the wider Ceredigion area will also be considered.
Applications will be welcomed from formally constituted groups or organisations based in Ceredigion and the priority wards with a project you would like us to support. In our first round of applications we aim to offer grants up to the value of £3,000 for both capital and/or revenue costs.
If you have a project which would benefit from this support please complete the application form giving as full a picture as possible of your organisation and who will benefit from the funding if this application is successful. Remember to include any benefit this will have on environmental sustainability and supporting the local community.
Deadline for this first round of applications: 31 July 2025.
The board of the Society will assess completed applications within 4 weeks of the deadline. We may require a follow up meeting with those applicants under serious consideration following the initial review of the application. We will contact all applicants once the final decision is made. Please note too that you can reapply in future application rounds.
Preference will be given to projects that:
- Incorporate some element of environmental sustainability.
- Will directly benefit communities in the 3 priority wards.
